Sport Production Summit: complete speaker line-up confirmed for Formula One UHD session

The Formula One compound at Silverstone in 2016.

In its first full conference session focusing on the broadcast innovation of Formula One, SVG Europe will explore the motor-racing championship’s recent adoption of a UHD workflow as part of its Sport Production Summit, which will take place in Amsterdam on 14 September.

In the space of just 11 months, Formula One Management (FOM) undertook a radical overhaul of its on-location broadcasting infrastructure to allow it to support UHD production in time for the first event of 2017: the Australian Grand Prix on 26 March. In the company of Sky Sports – which committed to broadcasting all of the 2017 races in UHD – key stakeholders will reflect on the challenges involved in delivering the new workflow as well as refinements for the remainder of the season.

Joining moderator and SVG Europe Editor David Davies, will be: Mark Hilton, Grass Valley, Vice President, Live Production; Geoff Love, Axon, Solutions Architect; Neil Maycock, Snell Advanced Media, EVP and General Manager, Media Software Solutions; Gordon Roxburgh, Sky Sports, Technical Manager; and Trevor Turner, Formula One Management, Group Manager TV Systems.
