Broadcast Solutions enters Finnish broadcast market

Broadcast Solutions GmbH has successfully acquired an outside broadcast service business from the Finnish System Integrator Qualitron Oy Ab and has established a subsidiary, Broadcast Solutions Finland Oy. The newly formed subsidiary will provide OB support and maintenance services to its customers in Finland and will invest further to expand its offering later this year to cover all aspects of broadcast services.

The Finnish Broadcast market is innovative and well appreciated in Europe although it is relatively small in size. But also due its nature the market has become more service oriented than many others in Europe. Broadcast Solutions as an early adopter will now leverage the experience it gains from this acquisition with its customer base in Europe, Middle East and South East Asia, where the company has already delivered more than 100 OB vans in the past years.

“With this acquisition we will bring one more significant aspect, OB support & maintenance service, into our offering and will develop this service even further so the all our existing and new customers can benefit from this development as well,” said Antti Laurila, the newly appointed managing director of Broadcast Solutions Finland Oy.

“We are sure that continuing the established OB support and service business in Finland and its further development will be a show case and an excellent practical example about our future service business model to all our Streamline Family customers in the future. This concept will surely give a boost to our already field proven Streamline Family concept.”

Broadcast Solutions Finland’s office will be located in the Pasila media campus in Helsinki close to all major customers in Finland e.g. YLE, MTV, Digita, Streamteam, Director’s Cut and NEP Finland.
