Cellnex equips labs with ATEME’s TITAN File software

ATEME has announced that Cellnex Telecom has deployed ATEME’s Titan File multi-codec and multi-format video transcoding software in its Spanish operation, writes Chris Cope. The solution was supplied by TmediaT, an ATEME partner, and is designed for bandwidth-efficient content transcoding up to 4K.

TITAN File is based on ATEME’s Fifth Generation STREAM compression engine and delivers the highest video quality at the lowest possible bitrate with accelerated parallel processing. The video transcoding software is designed for mezzanine, STB and ABR VOD, post-production, playout and archive applications.

Vincent Pedregno, sales manager for southern Europe at ATEME, says: “With TITAN File we are delivering the most technologically advanced transcoding solution to the Spanish market. With support for all the major new generation formats, including 4K HDR, it’s perfectly suited to deliver the very best quality to the end-user.”

TITAN File is the first solution to work at 10 bits in 4: 2: 2, 4K-UHD and to offer compatibility across all available HDR standards on the market. It has the ability to work 24/7 in automated workflows, and also offers an intelligent watch folder for content aggregation, API for integration with MAMs, and network monitoring of multiple servers deployed both “on premises” and in the “cloud”.

ATEME’s TITAN video transcoder is easy to install, configure and integrate into any existing workflow, including conditional access, digital rights management, digital ad insertion and forensic watermarking. Since NAB 2016, ATEME has showcased the possibility of directly ingesting files from Adobe Premiere Pro CC in AVCI MXF format.
