Custom Consoles announces EditOne-Radio desk

Custom Consoles has announced a new addition to its range of broadcast and post-production studio furniture. The EditOne-Radio desk is designed for use in radio interview suites, presentation studios and voiceover booths.

“EditOne-Radio is a very versatile desk which can be configured to match a wide range of audio production environments including live radio broadcasting,” says Custom Consoles Managing Director Neil Reed. “Developed from our established EditOne edit suite desk, it shares the same modern styling and goes beyond traditional studio furniture construction by using sculpted MDF support panels rather than metal legs.”

“Studio guest work surfaces can be attached to left or right the side of the EditOne-Radio desk, or on both sides, bridging across to an optional pedestal accommodating up to 11 rack units of equipment. Three mounting points are located along the rear of the desk to accommodate a microphone and flat screen display monitors. An additional mounting point can be used to support the guest microphone. The guest’s work surface is fitted with an acoustically damped surface to minimise noise.”

EditOne and EditOne-Radio are both available as flatpack workstations which can be assembled in less than an hour using the supplied Allen key and screwdriver. An on site assembly service is available if required.

Dimensions of the EditOne-Radio desk including one studio-guest position are 2770 mm wide by 1625 cm front-to-back by 740 mm high. The presenter’s work surface is 2000 mm wide x 1140 mm front to back, allowing plenty of space for freestanding equipment. Standard worktop finish is a hard wearing foil applied by a thermoform press, with powder coated underside surfaces. Other finishes can be supplied to order.

In addition to the 11U pedestal, options available for EditOne-Radio desk include a computer mounting kit, mains power distribution and a USB hub.

The EditOne-Radio desk will make its world-first exhibition appearance at the Custom Consoles stand (8.B38) at IBC 2017, Amsterdam, September 15-19.
