Habegger AG brings SIVision back to the market

Some corporate news: ten months after taking over what was at the time a bankrupt company, the new owner, Habegger AG, has been able to stabilise SIVision Broadcast GmbH and help it to return to the market.

Here’s the statement:

The new owner was faced with a tremendous task when it took over the bankrupt SIVision company in the summer of 2011. All of the processes had to be recalibrated in order to achieve a turnaround and create genuine opportunities on the market once again. This included establishing a new managing director in the form of Thomas Kšgl. At the request of the new owner, the founder of SIVision, Imre Sereg, handed over the company to his successor on 1 February 2012 and is leaving the company by mutual consent at the end of March.

After completing his apprenticeship as an audio-video technician, Thomas Kšgl, 33 years of age, moved to Tele24, Switzerland’s first national private television broadcaster. There, he was responsible for the construction and operation of its complete studio technology for five years.

From 2003 to 2011, Kšgl was employed by Habegger AG and carried out various functions. His final position was as head of Broadcasting/TV, where he supervised various host broadcasting projects in Switzerland and abroad. Among other things, he was responsible for the planning and realisation of the broadcasting infrastructure for the cross-country skiing and biathlon competition at the Asian Winter Games in Almaty (Kazakhstan). During the past six months, Kšgl was employed by tpc (technology and production center switzerland ag) and was in charge of the football and ice hockey programming, which tpc produces for the SRG (Swiss radio and television association).

“We see a very positive future,” says Kšgl. “For example, in recent weeks we have been able to produce two important ice hockey matches in Switzerland and the press conference for Chevrolet Europe in conjunction with the International Motor Show in Geneva. Also, we will be hard at work in London during the Olympic Games this summer.”
