NOA Audio Solutions adds video ingest workflow module to product lineup

NOA Audio Solutions, provider of functional and effective media archiving systems, announced the ingestLINE FrameLector module, NOA’s first video ingest workflow module for typical SD material such as Betacam SP. The new module is the latest addition to the ingestLINE family of products for media transcription.

FrameLector is an easy-to-use ingest tool that provides built-in scene detection, lossless compression on open-source standards, remote control of replayers, and an infinitely scalable multistream parallel solution with complete previewing. The lossless open-source mezzanine format allows for capturing SD material — along with its required metadata such as VITC and LTC timecode — in uncompromised quality.

“The new FrameLector module is based on our experience with the SRF Ange project in Sweden, one of the largest video migrations in Europe,” said Jean-Christophe Kummer, NOA managing partner. “We took the knowledge and lessons learned from that project and built this solution, which integrates seamlessly with the NOA workflow engine.”

FrameLector gives content librarians an efficient tool for mass transcription of video tapes that integrates with existing workflow and has a simple, intuitive user interface. The hardware is built upon industry standards with a proven track record. FrameLector supports two parallel ingest sources and connects peripherals through SDI while providing full RS422 support for VTRs.

The ingestLINE FrameLector module will be on display at IBC2012 at the NOA Audio Solutions stand 8.D91. The product will be available for mediARC users immediately after IBC2012.
