Abi Stephens to host SVG Europe Sports TV Awards 2020 ceremony

Winners will be announced live on Youtube and Facebook on 27 May

Sports broadcaster and presenter Abi Stephens will be the host when SVG Europe announces the winners of its Sports TV Awards, sponsored by Canon, during an ‘as live’ online ceremony on 27 May 2020.

Stephens will front the ceremony and have the honour of opening the golden envelopes that reveal the winners in each of the five categories: Outstanding Production Achievement (Event); Outstanding Production Achievement (Innovation); Outstanding OTT Experience; The SVG Europe Women Award for Diversity in Sports TV; and the One Planet Award for Sustainability in Sports TV.

The ‘as live’ awards ceremony will take place at 5pm UK time on Wednesday 27 May 2020 with the feed premiering on both SVG Europe’s YouTube channel and the SVG Europe Facebook page.

A familiar face to many in sports broadcasting, Stephens presents MotoGP for BT Sport, WRC for ITV, boxing for Eurosport and jumps out of planes as the host of The National Sky Diving Championships.

The ceremony stream, which will be free to view, will also be embedded into the SVG Europe Sports TV Awards website.
