Accedo joins SVG Europe as a Gold sponsor
Accedo, which delivers video solutions that enable sports rightsholders, broadcasters and sponsors to leverage the power of video to connect with their audiences, has joined SVG Europe as a Gold sponsor.
Recent innovations from the company include Accedo Play – Sports, an out-of-the-box sports video solution that was launched earlier this year. Accedo Play – Sports enables sport organisations to launch, manage and monetise a service which delivers both a world class video-centric experience, as well as a premium and tailored fan experience.
With Accedo Play – Sports, rightsholders, federations and clubs can quickly deliver a video-centric hub for their brand to augment and enhance any existing video and social media strategies. As well as creating an engaging digital space for fans, Accedo Play – Sports opens up the opportunity to monetise across core revenue streams, such as ticketing, merchandising, sponsorship, as well as direct video revenue streams.
One organisation that has utilised the solution is Hong Kong Rugby Union (HKRU), which launched its OTT service, HKRU TV, using Accedo Play – Sports. Featuring both live and VOD content, HKRU TV was successfully rolled out in time for the 2020 Premiership season and can be accessed from devices all over the world. It also includes a range of highlight shows and other content surrounding the sport and the athletes. The use of AuthVOD enables fans across the globe to register and use the video service for free.
In addition, Midco Sports Network worked with Accedo to develop a new video service utilising the unified cloud platform Accedo One. Midco Sports Plus launched in December 2020 and is available on Android, iOS and web services, with plans to extend to connected TV devices in the near future. The service gives sports fans access to a mix of live and on-demand content, presented in an engaging user experience.
