ACTAMEDYA delivers broadcast production of the 28th Samsung Bosporus Intercontinental Swimming Competition

The 28th Samsung Bosporus Intercontinental Swimming Competition was held in Istanbul, Turkey, on 24 July 2016. The co-ordination and production of the live broadcast of the event – which featured participation by 2,000 swimmers from 70 countries – was realised by ACTAMEDYA.

A total of 12 cameras were used at the finish and start points of the Istanbul Bosporus Strait that connects Europe and Asia, while two octocopters (drones) managed via RF links on boats helped to broadcast the competition in HD quality.

Some 35 team members took part in the production of the 2-hour live feed that was broadcast live on NTVSpor.

ACTAMEDYA continues to deliver live coverage of a wide variety of events that require RF systems and specialist cameras, including marathons, cycling competitions, motorcycle races and more.

Specific events that ACTAMEDYA has worked on since 2011 include the Istanbul Marathon, Istanbul Half-Marathon, Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey, and Adana Half- Marathon. ACTAMEDYA has also been producing the main signals of basketball and football matches, as well as providing unilateral production for national and international broadcasters.
