Anvia TV selects Elemental, Teleste for IPTV and OTT networks
Elemental Technologies and Teleste have released details of the implementation of an integrated multiscreen solution for Anvia TV, a national TV operator in Finland.
Earlier this year, Teleste and Elemental began co-marketing activities targeting the cable industry in Europe. The co-branded Teleste Optimo transcoder is a part of Teleste’s multiscreen solution for distributing TV channels and video services on DVB, IPTV and over-the-top television (OTT) networks. Transcoding is powered by Elemental Live video processing software to provide real-time video and audio encoding for linear pay TV broadcast as well as live streaming to new media platforms.
The solution streams content for all-IP video delivery from the headend to homes for viewing on set-top boxes, PCs, and smart phones and tablets. Using Optimo transcoding technology, Anvia TV smoothly transitioned to a fully IP-based video infrastructure and expanded operations to support multiscreen services.
“Anvia TV has a long and successful history as a pay TV operator. In partnership with Teleste, we hope to support the company as it moves into a new era of leadership,” says Keith Wymbs, VP of marketing for Elemental. “We are confident that our partnership with Teleste, a major powerhouse in the European cable market, will facilitate a smooth and efficient transition to all-IP and multiscreen-ready infrastructures for cable and telco companies across Europe.”
