Appear has returned as a Platinum sponsor of SVG Europe. The moves comes in a year that has seen the company further enhance its X Platform and release the VX Software Platform and APX, a cohesive and integrated solutions suite consisting of technology, services and operational support tools, as it looks to ensure media organisations can operate at the highest quality and robustness levels, regardless of their choice between hardware, on-premise software, or the cloud.

New features and functionalities for the X Platform include the recently launched 100G IP Gateway Switch module, which drives cost efficiencies and sustainability by increasing density and significantly increasing media flow throughput. In addition, by optimising the latency of the AVC and HEVC functions of the X Platform, it can now deliver end-to-end contribution below 100ms.

The VX Software Platform, meanwhile, aims to empower customers to swiftly create next-generation software production workflows that distribute functionality across multiple infrastructure and connected hardware solutions, while delivering the power, resiliency and ultra-low latency of today’s hardware platforms.

“We’re excited to renew our Platinum sponsorship with SVG Europe,” said Matthew Williams-Neale, vice president, marketing and communications at Appear. “The relationship we’ve built over the years is invaluable in helping us engage with the sports broadcast community and showcase the innovations we’re bringing to market. A highlight for us this year was being involved in the Create Share Engage event, which provided a fantastic platform to discuss the evolving landscape of content creation and delivery across social media, streaming and beyond. Looking ahead, we’re focused on expanding our solutions to meet the growing demand for high-density, low-latency video delivery, and continuing to support our partners with the best in live production technology.”
