When it comes to sports, Ateme’s advanced MV-HEVC and HEVC encoding technologies, which enable immersive live 180° and 360° experiences, were recently utilised by DAZN during the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States. Also in 2025, Mediawan deployed Titan Edge decoders in a 1+1 redundancy setup to receive more than ten live stadium feeds, encoded onsite and delivered up to 1080p50, for a new major French sporting event. The solution provided reliable production access for journalists, replay teams and editors during live broadcasts.
