Audio-Technica renews Gold SVG Europe sponsorship

Audio-Technica has returned as a Gold sponsor of SVG Europe. The company offers a wide range of microphones, headphones, wireless systems, and more that are used on the world’s biggest sporting events.

This includes the BP3600 immersive audio microphone, which is capable of capturing stable, three-dimensional sound beds at sports events, the AT-UMX3 live streaming USB audio mixer, and the M-Series and open-back R-Series of headphones.

Audio-Technica is particularly known for its collaboration with MotoGP which has seen the motorsport invest in its audio setup to bring fans ever closer to the racing action. As part of this the manufacturer has developed specialist microphones specifically designed for the unique – and challenging – MotoGP race track, with up to 8 mics now installed on each bike.

The company has also recently been involved in ESL Intel Extreme Masters, held earlier this year in Poland.

In order to offer viewers a truly engaging audio experience, Audio-Technica’s BP3600 immersive microphone played a key role in delivering the atmosphere in the arena. Located in the venue’s ceiling, the microphone’s eight hypercardioid capsules allow for capture of realistic, three-dimensional sound in an easy-to-deploy package.

The BP3600 was complemented by the use of a quartet of Audio-Technica’s AT4050ST stereo large diaphragm condensers (also suspended from the ceiling) and 16 BP4025 large-diaphragm X/Y mics (in front of audience) to form a sonic bridge between the arena’s diffuse ambient sound and the direct sound of the audience.
