Audio-Technica renews Gold SVG Europe sponsorship

Audio-Technica has returned as a Gold sponsor of SVG Europe.

The company’s headphones, mixers and microphone systems are used across the globe in a wide variety of applications, from live concert tours and recording studios to theatres, educational facilities and houses of worship.

This year has seen Audio-Technica extend its broadcast partnership with the MotoAmerica race series. Under the terms of the agreement, Audio-Technica broadcast and production microphones are used to capture the sounds on the track and for interviews of the riders post-competition and on the champion podium. Additionally, A-T headsets are worn by the series’ announcers, and A-T mics and headphones are used in the production of the official podcast and behind-the-scenes programming.

Rodrigo Thomaz, Audio-Technica project manager, broadcast partnerships, said: “With the continuing interest in immersive sound, we’re seeing a real demand for innovative broadcast audio solutions across the sports landscape.

“The viewing audience really expects to be placed in the middle of the action these days and that requires broadcasters to deliver an authentic, detailed, ‘full’ audio experience. Audio-Technica helps to do that with products including our innovative, easy-to-deploy BP3600 immersive microphone and also large-diaphragm condenser shotgun models like the BP28.

“Additionally, in situations where microphones need to be placed in unusual situations – in motor-racing pitlanes, under the ice of curling rinks, on-board motorcycles etc – broadcasters are also turning to Audio-Technica’s experience in developing rugged miniature lavalier mics, versatile boundary mics and more to create sonic solutions in demanding situations.

“As an SVG Europe sponsor, Audio-Technica has found the opportunities to share ideas and experience with other members invaluable. Sports broadcasting is an incredibly exciting, dynamic industry at the moment and we’re pleased to be renewing our SVG Europe sponsorship for 2024-2025.”
