Axon hosts pre-NAB Show Tour 2020 educational days in Manchester and London

As broadcasters move into remote production workflows for live events using IP technology, Axon Digital Design is hitting the road to educate the industry in its Pre-NAB Show Tour 2020 that will see the company visiting 16 countries.

Axon has hired the Piazza at dock10 Media City in Salford, Manchester, UK, on 2 March to teach about IP, and has teamed with Timeline TV on 5 March at Ealing Studios in London to showcase its IP Innovation Truck.

Commented Tom Barnacle, UK area sales manager at Axon Digital Design: “If you want to learn about IP broadcasting of live events on 2 March we have Sony, Meinberg, EVS Broadcast Equipment and more on board so you can meet the product managers and system designers. We’ll also be discussing pre-NAB feature sets.”

The products demonstrated on the Axon Pre-NAB Show Tour 2020 truck will be exactly the same as those on display at Axon’s booth at NAB

On the London event on 5 March, Barnacle added: “We’ve teamed up with Timeline TV at Ealing Studios to show our IP Innovation Truck, which is demonstrating live broadcast event workflow between Sony, EVS, Meinberg, Axon and more.

“To compliment the day, Timeline TV are kindly opening the doors to their new Remote Production Broadcast Centre,” he added.

The Axon Pre-NAB Show Tour 2020 allows broadcasters to experience tomorrow’s workflows, the company said. The products demonstrated on the truck will be exactly the same as those on display at Axon’s booth at NAB, so this will also provide “a perfect opportunity for people who are not going to Las Vegas to get up-close and personal with Axon’s solutions.”

“This tour follows on from the success of our IP Innovations Tour, which took place last summer,” said Axon’s CCO, Karel van der Flier.
