Back in the Game: UEFA Euro 2020 and Wimbledon to be discussed during 28 July in-person London event

Euro 2020 and the 2021 Wimbledon Championships will be among the sporting events discussed during Back in the Game, SVG Europe’s first in-person event for more than 18 months which is taking place at Kings Place in London on 28 July 2021.

Beginning at 16:00, the registration-only event, sponsored by MediaKind, will see key figures involved in 2021’s summer of sport taking part in a series of fireside chats before delegates come together for networking drinks.

Attendees will also be the first to hear the shortlist for SVG Europe’s Sports TV Awards 2021.

Among the speakers will be Paul Davies, Head of Broadcast & Production at the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), who will explain how coverage of the Wimbledon Championships was brought back to our TV screens after a 12-month break, outlining how things have changed and the challenges that have been overcome.

In addition, Sunset+Vine Match Director Jamie Oakford, who is calling the shots on both of the semi-finals and the final of UEFA Euro 2020, will look back at the tournament, revealing how he told the stories of the matches at Wembley Stadium and sharing anecdotes and what he has learnt working on Europe’s biggest football show.

Further speakers will be confirmed soon.

Attendees will also be able to enjoy networking and drinks in the Battlebridge Room, complete with covered terrace overlooking the Regent’s Canal from 18:00.

Registration for the event is now open to members and sponsors with the option to attend for the afternoon, evening or both. Numbers are limited and registration is essential so be sure to secure your place today.
