BBC Sport’s Andrew Cotton, BT Sport’s Paul Edwards sign up for FutureSport

The already distinguished list of speakers set to grace this year’s SVG Europe FutureSport event has been enhanced once again with the addition of BBC R&D Broadcast and Connected Systems Division principal technology Andrew Cotton, and BT Sport senior product manager for online, mobile and video, Paul Edwards, to panels on the future of sports TV and big data, respectively.

The latest in SVGE’s series of European sports broadcast technology one-dayers, FutureSport 2013 will take place at one of the UK’s best-loved sports venues, The Kia Oval in London, on 3 December.

Other topics to be discussed include: IP, the future of OB design and centralised remote production; next-generation compression technologies; current educational initiatives; and availability of 4K-compliant equipment.
