BBC to broadcast Artistic Gymnastics British Championships

British Gymnastics and the BBC have announced a new two-year broadcast agreement that will see the 2025 and 2026 Artistic Gymnastics British Championships broadcast on the BBC, with coverage across BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app.

This year marks the 117th edition of the Championships – the most prestigious event on the British artistic gymnastics calendar – and is the start of an the new Olympic cycle in the build up to LA 2028.

Through BBC Sport’s coverage of the event across the weekend of 22-23 March, fans will be able to watch the women’s and men’s All-Around competitions and the apparatus finals, with Olympic, World and European medallists going head-to-head.

The BBC’s coverage will be hosted by Sydney Davies and Sam Oldham, with commentary from Katie Foster and Kristian Thomas.

Ahead of the BBC coverage starting on the Saturday afternoon, fans wanting to follow any of the action from the first two days of competition will be able to watch live via the British Gymnastics website.

Speaking about the new agreement, Dom Elsom, events director at British Gymnastics, said: “There is a real excitement among gymnastics fans ahead of this year’s Artistic Gymnastics British Championships following on from Paris and looking ahead to LA, and we’re thrilled that fans across the country will now be able to be part of that through the BBC’s coverage of the event.

“Gymnastics is one of the few sports that has more female fans than male fans, and so it is hugely positive that the BBC have committed to coverage of this standout event in the sporting calendar for at least the next two years.”
