Behind the Mic: Michaels, Ohno To Highlight NBC’s Sochi Coverage; Urlacher To Join FS1’s Fox Football Daily
Al Michaels and Apolo Anton Ohno will play key roles in NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Michaels will host daytime Winter Olympics coverage on NBC Sports Network (weekdays) and NBC (weekends), marking his third consecutive Olympics for NBC Sports Group after serving as host of NBC’s weekend and weekday daytime coverage from London (2012) and Vancouver (2010). …Two-time Emmy Award-winning sports reporter Jenn Brown has joined NFL Network as host of NFL Total Access, as well as a variety of other roles for the network. Brown joins NFL Network after eight years at ESPN as a reporter and host. For the past three years, Brown served as the sideline reporter for ESPN’s Thursday Night Primetime college football game and ESPN/ABC Saturday college football coverage. As a host at ESPN, Brown co-hosted ESPNU’s college football show RoadTrip. Prior to joining ESPN, Brown served as the first female correspondent for Inside the NFL on Showtime…
…NFL Media has also added Veteran NFL reporter Judy Battista has joined NFL Media. Battista will file multiple stories per week on NFL.com and appear on NFL Network on a variety of shows. Battista joins NFL Media after almost 15 years with the New York Times, at which she has covered the NFL nationally since 2004. During her career with the New York Times, Battista also covered the New York Jets, as well as baseball, tennis and college basketball.
