BMC TV joins SVG Europe as a Bronze sponsor as it ‘enters a period of exciting growth’

BMC TV, an independent specialist media connectivity provider delivering resilient, high-performance network solutions for many of the UK’s leading broadcasters, rights holders and live sporting events, has joined SVG Europe as a Bronze sponsor.

David Meynell, CEO, BMC TV, said: “We’re delighted to be joining SVG Europe as a sponsor and becoming part of an organisation that plays such an important role in bringing together the sports broadcast community. BMC TV is entering an exciting period of growth. We’re continuing to invest in our network, our technology and, most importantly, our people as we build what we believe is one of the UK’s most technically advanced media connectivity companies.”

At the heart of the business is the rapidly expanding LMX Network, a purpose-built, high-capacity media network designed for the demands of modern broadcast production. From dedicated uncompressed video wavelengths and high-bandwidth connectivity through to managed internet, JPEG XS, JPEG 2000 and bespoke contribution services, BMC TV provides the infrastructure and engineering expertise required to transport critical live content reliably, securely and at scale.

Recent years have seen the company expand its portfolio of major broadcast projects. Already this year, it has delivered connectivity and broadcast services for ITV Sport’s Six Nations and Nations Championship coverage, BBC Sport’s FIFA World Cup and Wimbledon coverage, Channel 4’s Boat Race production and Sky Sports’ Baller League.

Alongside these major sporting events, BMC TV provides extensive permanent connectivity to racecourses and venues across the UK, supporting live connectivity for thousands of horse racing and greyhound events each year.  The company continues to expand its network footprint with additional racecourses, sporting venues and production facilities being connected to the LMX Network.

Meynell added: “We’re proud to support many of the UK’s leading broadcasters and rights holders, helping to deliver some of the world’s biggest live sporting events. As we continue to grow, we’ll also be recruiting across a number of areas of the business, and I’m particularly looking forward to bringing more talented people into BMC TV who share our passion for innovation, technical excellence and exceptional customer service.

“We’re looking forward to sharing ideas, supporting innovation and working closely with the SVG Europe community as the industry continues to evolve.”
