Broadcast Solutions delivers SNG to ORF for daily show Guten Morgen Österreich

Broadcast Solutions recently delivered an SNG vehicle to Austrian broadcaster remotion. The car, a Volkswagen T5 Caravelle, is equipped with a ProSat antenna and is currently used for daily show Guten Morgen Österreich at Austrian public broadcaster ORF. Using a mobile studio on wheels each daily show is broadcast from a different Austrian city.

The SNG is a Volkswagen T5 Caravelle with long wheelbase and offers enough space for three complete workplaces. It is possible to drive with four people in total plus there is enough space in the rear for additional mobile equipment.

With powerful UPS, generator and air-conditioning the SNG runs independently and offers a maximum working guarantee. The SNG system comprises of a ProSat D120 M antenna, including an Eutelsat auto-pointing system. The uplink system works redundantly with 2x 400 Watt TWTA and two Ericsson encoders. The SNG can handle transmissions in DVB-S/S2 in MPEG 2/4 in 4:2:0 and 4:2:2.
