BT, Nevion to present network at EBU tech seminar
A new IP contribution network, built by BT Media and Broadcast and Nevion for a leading UK commercial broadcaster, will be the subject of a joint presentation at the European Broadcasting Union (EBU)’s Network Technology Seminar 2014. Taking place during the contribution session on Wednesday 25 June, the presentation begins at 9am and will be given by John Ellerton, head of Media Futures at BT Media and Broadcast, and Andy Rayner, VP of engineering at Nevion.
The presentation comes on the back of the recent agreement between BT Media and Broadcast, the specialist digital media services arm of BT, and Nevion, a leader in transporting live media from the camera to the home, to provide bundled media network solutions to broadcasters throughout the world.
The EBU Network Technology Seminar is an annual meeting of broadcast experts dealing with specialised and IT infrastructure, as well as for IT network and storage specialists who handle broadcast media content in production, contribution and B2B, and in primary distribution. It takes place at EBU Headquarters in Geneva from 24-25 June 2014. A key focus for this year’s seminar will be networks in the studio, as well as video contribution and future networks.
