SVG Europe has announced further distinguished panellists for the next event in its annual programme of technology summits, SportTech 2014, which will take place at the Emirates Stadium on 7 May. From BT Sport, chief engineer Andy Beale will both discuss the development of the comms giant turned broadcaster’s epic new complex in London and, as part of an all-star panel, consider the forthcoming pan-European transition to fully digital production and distribution in TV.
From TV2 Norway, head of Olympics Christian Espeland and TV2 Sports senior director Jens Knudsen will examine the evolution of Olympics broadcast coverage ‘from Russia to Rio’.
Other panellists already confirmed to take part in the busy one-day programme – which will commence with a full tour of the Emirates Stadium site – include Avid senior director global centre of excellence Craig Dwyer, Ixedia managing director Mark Hill, CTV Outside Broadcasts managing director Barry Johnstone, Gearhouse Broadcast COO Kevin Moorhouse and IMG Media SVP global director of engineering & technology David Shield.
