BVE 2014: Audio-Technica announces interactive visitor experience
Having won the Best Stand award for its jungle-themed booth at BVE 2013, Audio-Technica returns to the broadcast event this week with a similarly interactive visitor experience.
This year, the Audio-Technica stand features a Wild West film set theme and will allow visitors to try a wide variety of the company’s shotgun microphones to pick up sound sources located around the set, as if on a film shoot. Among the products on display will be the BP4071 and BP4071L shotgun, BP4027 stereo shotgun and AT897 short shotgun microphones, the new M50x monitoring headphones and Allen & Heath’s Qu Series compact digital mixing desks.
Tom Harrold, Audio-Technica’s assistant marketing manager pro-audio, says: “Following up our wildlife-themed stand from BVE2013 hasn’t been easy, but we’re very excited about the new ‘Western’ booth. Again, it will allow visitors to get a useful, hands-on experience of a selection of broadcast and production microphones and headphones and be able to hear how different models respond in terms of tone, sound rejection and so on.
“The response to the interactive stand last year was overwhelming, so we’re very much looking forward to welcoming visitors and inviting them to try the products in as meaningful way as possible at BVE.”
