BVE announces launch of London Entertainment Week 2016
i2i Events Group, the organiser behind BVE, has disclosed plans for London Entertainment Week 2016 – described as a week-long series of events built around BVE to celebrate the achievements and ambitions of the entire UK entertainment industry.
Alison Willis, portfolio director, i2i Events, said: “In recent years we have seen increasing overlap from theatre, film, AV and social media into the traditional ‘broadcast’ space, and have reflected this in our free seminar programme and the composition of the exhibition at BVE. In recognition of this increasing convergence, BVE is poised to become the centre of an all-encompassing celebration of the UK’s global position as an innovator in the creative industries, acknowledging all those involved in delivering world class film, TV, commercials, theatre, live events and gaming, while maintaining the integrity and relevance of the current show.”
BVE currently attracts over 15,000 visitors from more than 60 countries, offering a comprehensive exhibition of manufacturers, resellers and service providers, and over 120 hours of free seminar programming across nine theatres, with strands covering production and post-production issues, 4K technology, broadcast workflows and the growing world of ‘connected TV’. The expanded event will see BVE incorporate a larger Production Services area, increase pro-audio and lighting presence, build on the existing AV provision with a dedicated AV seminar theatre, and create a new OB area.
i2i Events Group has already confirmed the participation of Raindance, EVCOM and the IABM, and has several other key organisations lined up in the advertising, theatre and film sectors which will be announced shortly.
