Calrec ‘adds value’ with Bronze SVG Europe sponsorship renewal
Calrec has returned as a Bronze sponsor of SVG Europe. The company offers a range of broadcast mixing consoles, remote production and audio networking solutions, while its understanding of AoIP and IP infrastructures, and its work with third-party integration, means Calrec is helping broadcatsers plan for the future and achieve efficiency.
Dave Letson, VP of sales at Calrec, said: “Sports broadcasters have embraced multiple ways of working and are flexing production resources to meet their needs. Our role at Calrec is to help them stay ahead and support them as they switch to IP infrastructures and continue to explore multiple new ways of working, whether via remote production and/or distributed production or cloud use. As we’ve said before, the future of live sport broadcasting will not be on-site, or off-site, or hybrid, or edge processing. In fact, it will be determined entirely by production needs and budget, and it won’t be up to us to decide how it’s done. Whether it is to increase output, reduce costs or extend reach, Calrec has it covered and organisations like SVG Europe are vital in helping us communicate these ideas with the market and stay up to date with leading sports industry insight and information.”
He continues: “SVG Europe operates at the heart of the sports broadcast production community and provides companies like Calrec the ability to observe and reflect on new trends and connect and engage with its audience. It helps us add value with in-depth articles and news, plus thought-provoking in-person and online panel events. But, most importantly, we know our customers value the organisation and they enable us to drive and be part of conversations that matter – which is something as an industry we all need to be part of.”
