Calrec renews Bronze SVG Europe sponsorship

Calrec’s Argo is a new approach to audio mixing

Broadcast audio specialist Calrec has renewed its Bronze sponsorship of SVG Europe.

Part of the Audiotonix group of console manufacturers, Calrec offers a range of broadcast mixing consoles and remote production and audio networking solutions, which are used by broadcasters and service providers across the globe.

In 2022, EMG UK turned to Calrec to equip its latest Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in Stratford, London. A 56-fader Artemis console was installed alongside an IP-native Type R. Calrec’s Hydra 2 networking technology is also utilised alongside a Calrec AoIP Gateway.

Furtther afield, Radio and Television Montenegro (RTCG) completed a comprehensive upgrade of its Radio Montenegro and Montenegro Television facilities. On the TV side, the broadcaster installed three Artemis consoles, a router core, a Brio36 and two Type R consoles. For its radio operation it now uses five native IP Type R consoles, a Brio36 and a Hydra2 router. It also uses Calrec’s H2 IP Gateway technology to integrate the proprietary and AoIP networks.

Recent technology innovations include the launch of Argo, an audio mixing system designed to keep pace with the changes broadcasters are experiencing in their production workflows, and the ImPulse1 IP audio processing and routing engine, a smaller ST2110 version of the industry-established ImPulse.
