Calrec renews SVG Europe Gold Sponsorship to participate in “neutral arena”

Calrec, a designer and supplier of audio broadcast mixing equipment, has renewed its Gold Sponsorship with SVG Europe. The company cited the neutral ground the association creates for competitors within the industry to work towards the same goals as the key reason for its sponsorship.

Dave Letson, VP of sales, Calrec

Dave Letson, VP of sales at Calrec, said that, “SVG Europe creates scenarios where competing manufacturers and broadcasters can argue the benefits of different approaches to solving the same issue. This provides a neutral arena in which broadcasters can form a balanced opinion away from rhetoric”.

He went on: “Furthermore, it offers the opportunity to meet existing and prospective customers and technology partners to discover what the real-world issues are and discuss potential collaborative developments to drive the industry forward. In essence, being a member of SVG Europe is an opportunity to support our community.”

Renewing its sponsorship with SG Europe was a no-brainer, Letson continued: “When our sponsorship for SVG Europe needed renewing it really didn’t take much thought as it offers many benefits to its members. More than merely a valuable news resource for keeping up with emerging trends, SVG Europe provides the sports broadcasting community a forum to debate the pressing technical issues challenging the industry and introduce defining ideas to aid their resolution.”

Calrec is relied on by the world’s most successful broadcasters. Formed as a microphone manufacturer in 1964, Calrec’s reputation for build quality, reliability and audio performance has made it an industry benchmark across the world.
