Canon renews Gold sponsorship of SVG Europe

It’s been another year of innovation for imaging specialist Canon, which has renewed its Gold sponsorship of SVG Europe for 2026.

Highlights include the launch of the EOS C50, a compact, full-frame cinema camera featuring a 7K full-frame CMOS sensor, 7K 60P internal RAW recording and 32 megapixel still photo capture, and the CR-N400 and CR-N350 PTZ cameras.

Canon also unveiled the Canon Virtual Production System, designed to streamline virtual production workflows, in June. Mo-Sys then implemented Canon’s latest CV Protocol that allows the camera to feed OpenLensIO metadata directly into the Mo-Sys StarTracker camera tracking system via a single cable connection – a world first in end-to-end camera and lens to tracking system integration.

“Canon Europe is delighted to renew our Gold Sponsorship with SVG Europe for another year,” said Jack Adair, European broadcast & cinema marketing lead. “The partnership continues to be a great fit for us, providing a valuable platform to connect with industry leaders and stay close to the conversations shaping the future of sports production. We truly appreciate the community SVG Europe cultivates and are proud to support the innovation, collaboration and excellence it brings to the industry. We’re looking forward to another successful year together.”
