Cerberus heads into 2022 as a Gold sponsor of SVG Europe

IP specialist Cerberus Tech has renewed its Gold sponsorship of SVG Europe.

During the past year, the company has worked on numerous IP delivery projects with key sports organisations. This included helping QTV Sports with the domestic distribution of the Scottish Premiership, supporting it to deliver 142 matches live to BBC Scotland, Sky Sports and club OTT channels, as well as stats, betting and cloud editing workflows.

“Cerberus Tech is working to remove barriers and build awareness around affordable IP technology, to support all sports organisations,” said Chris Clarke, CEO & co-founder at the company. “Having worked with both major and niche sports organisations to deliver content globally, our goal is to create scalable IP infrastructure which complements traditional broadcast methods. Although IP has yet to be adopted at the same scale as its satellite and fibre counterparts, there is a growing awareness of its capabilities, and our team is proud to be a part of those conversations.”

Cerberus’ solutions help broadcasters expand content reach by reducing cost of contribution and distribution. “We are committed to supporting customers with distributing low latency, high reliability IP feeds at an affordable price, which is why partnerships, memberships and integrations are so important to us. With the right service network in place, the industry will be able to benefit from a new era of cloud-based innovation,” he added.

On the decision to renew its Gold sponsorship, Clarke said:SVG is an important platform within the sports and broadcast communities. It is an ideal outlet for next-gen technology companies, like Cerberus Tech, to share relevant news, knowledge and insights directly with potential customers. The sports broadcasting industry has experienced rapid change over the past two years and there has been an increase in new deployments as a result of the pandemic. Trusted sources of information, like SVG, are crucial when connecting sports organisations and broadcasters with new technology that can help move the industry forward. SVG provides opportunities to expand our reach and grow the awareness of IP delivery through events, discussions, and content sharing.”
