Click Effects Preps for Busy 2014, Welcomes Back Return Clients

Less than four months into 2014, Click Effects’ résumé boasts an impressive number of high-profile projects. The company recently powered the content delivery at AT&T Stadium in Dallas for the NCAA Men’s Final Four, using the full range of CrossFire, Blaze, and Backdraft systems already in place at the venue.

Click Effects systems have also been used during the Super Bowl, World Series, Olympics, Ryder Cup, US Open tennis championships, Stanley Cup Playoffs, and NBA Championships. And, in preparation for the 2014 World Cup, Panasonic Brazil has selected a number of Click Effects Systems.

At NAB 2014, Click Effects, a division of Sound & Video Creations, took to the South Lower Hall to show off its portfolio of video- and audio-content–delivery systems. The company also discussed a number of projects forthcoming this year, including the Philadelphia Eagles’ planned renovation of Lincoln Financial Field, one of many repeat customers relying on Click Effects gear.

“[With] these return customers, the trust is out there now. They know it’s durable, it’s trusted,” says Scott Sheppard, director of operations, Sound & Video Creations. “And, in addition to all the extra functionalities and features, they know we can coordinate everything, and nobody else can do that.”

Throughout the renovation and new-build process, Click Effects works closely with videoboard manufacturers to create the most dynamic in-venue show possible. In addition to working alongside Panasonic for the Eagles project, Click Effects is teaming with Mitsubishi Electric on the Buffalo Bills’ renovation of Ralph Wilson Stadium and with Daktronics on the Carolina Panthers’ Bank of America Stadium project.

“True to form with what we are and who are, we are continuing to come out with products that are going to lead the industry,” says Eric Pangborn, director of sales, Click Effects. “We’re keeping pace with the ways these LED [displays] are now taking over the facilities and being able to offer solutions that can work together and provide many systems to pull it off and do it in a way that [the venue is] very pleased about.”

Click Effects recently retrofitted the London’s Copper Box, which housed handball at the 2012 Olympics, and the Aquatics Centre, with plans to upgrade the remaining Olympic venues. More than 75% of all major- and minor-league sports teams and hundreds of universities — both domestic and international — count on Click Effects gear.
