DAZN adds “game-changing” multi sport viewing feature to streaming service

DAZN has added a new feature to its sports streaming service that enables viewers to watch up to four live or on-demand events at the same time on one screen.

Called ‘MultiView’, the feature provides users with what the company is calling an “immersive multi-screen experience” without the need to connect or cast to different screens.

MultiView is being made available on fourth and fifth generation Apple TV devices to all DAZN subscribers in the US, Canada, Japan, Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It will launch in Spain and Brazil when the service goes live in those countries.

DAZN chief product officer Ben Lavender described it a “game changer.”

“The ‘MultiView’ function means fans never need miss a second of their favourite sports,” he added.

Richard Giannetti, DAZN senior product manager oversaw the project. He said, “There are many concurrent live fixtures on the DAZN platform and giving fans the freedom to watch multiple events at once in an immersive way was a natural improvement for the product.”

DAZN will launch in Spain later this year with exclusive broadcast rights to stream MotoGP, English Premier League and EuroLeague basketball.
