DAZN retains Belgian Pro League TV rights

DAZN has extended its domestic rights deal for coverage of Belgium’s Pro League topflight football competition.

Domestic rights for the Pro League for the period 2025-2030 have been awarded to  DAZN including the live rights for the Jupiler Pro League, the Challenger Pro League, the Lotto Super League, the Croky Cup and the Supercup, the highlights magazine, delayed clips and a Monday evening magazine show.

Meanwhile, VRT and RTBF secured radio rights and will be responsible for the live radio reporting for the next five seasons.

The deal is worth €84.2 million euros in revenue per season from DAZN, VRT and RTBF. In addition, the Pro League said it is entitled to a share of the additional turnover from DAZN.

Pro League chief executive Lorin Parys said: “More than 4 million Belgians are fans of our football and follow the Pro League matches weekly via media channels and in the stadiums.

“The allocation of the media rights is always an important moment for the fans and the clubs. Together with our clubs and media rights holders, we are working on more innovation, better accessibility of our football for the fans and the development of our competitions as strong brands that provide sports and entertainment.”

The deal was confirmed following a meeting between the management and the board of directors of Belgium’s Pro League.

International rights will be awarded in early 2025.
