Deadline extended for 2016 Sport Production Achievement Awards nominations

SVGE_SPA Slider2016 outlinesSVG Europe has announced that it is now accepting nominations for the 2016 Sport Production Achievement Awards up until 19 July – but entrants are advised that can be no further extension. As ever, the Awards will be presented during its traditional Saturday night drinks reception at IBC on 10 September 2016.

Nominations of superlative projects to have taken place since August 15, 2015, are being accepted in the following three categories:

Outstanding Technical Achievement: This Award is designed to honour a specific application of technology within a larger sports production for its overall excellence and innovation. Nominees should consider how the technology improved either the efficiency of the production or the viewer’s experience. Nominate a project here.

Outstanding Technical Innovation: This Award is designed to honour a new product or technology for its overall excellence and potential impact on the sports production marketplace. Nominees should consider overall quality of the technology, how large an impact it will have on sports production, and its availability for purchase today. Nominate a project here.

Outstanding Overall Production Achievement: This Award is designed to honour a sports production for its overall excellence. Nominees should consider the overall quality of the broadcast in terms of coverage (both editorially and technically) and technical innovation through the use of new technologies or workflows. The SVG Europe Sport Production Awards will take place from 6-8pm on 10 September. As well as recognising superb achievements from the last 12 months, the event will also provide an opportunity to catch up with industry friends and colleagues over drinks and canapés.
