deltatre acquires Paul Bristow’s minority stake in deltatre Media

As part of the acquisition of a majority stake by Bruin Sports Capital, deltatre has taken full ownership of deltatre Media, deltatre’s UK subsidiary, buying out Paul Bristow’s minority share.

Bristow co-founded deltatre Media in 2002 and led the growth of the Company into new sports including rugby, golf, cricket and the Olympic Games. He expanded the client base and range of services to all the major broadcasters in the UK and took the Company into new geographical territories including India and Singapore. He became Chief Operating Officer of the deltatre Group before stepping down from his day-to-day role in 2014 to focus on the development of the new European Championships 2018 multi-sport concept. With the completion of the Bruin Sports Capital acquisition, he resigned from his role of non-executive director of deltatre Media on July 19.

“I would like to thank Paul for the vital contribution he has made to the development of our UK subsidiary and of the deltatre group in general. I wish him all the success he deserves in his future projects, and hope that our paths will cross again soon in the sport business,” said Giampiero Rinaudo, deltatre’s CEO.

“deltatre has played a leading role over the last decade in transforming the way sport is consumed through digital and social media. It has been an honour to have been part of the company during these exciting times and I would like to thank all my colleagues, partners, suppliers and clients for their valuable contribution and collaboration. I am delighted that deltatre has found an excellent new partner in Bruin Sports Capital to support the continued growth and prosperity of the company. I wish them all the very best for the future,” said Paul Bristow.
