deltatre’s new Swiss office utilising Interoute networked cloud

Last October Sports broadcast and digital media services firm deltatre announced the widening of its international footprint last October with the creation of a new branch in Geneva, Switzerland. deltatre’s new office is now open for business within the Interoute Data Centre facility; Interoute is the owner/operator of Europe’s largest cloud services platform.

Housed in a modern building and just a few minutes from Geneva Airport, the deltatre Swiss branch is placed at the heart of its key customer base and constitutes a direct presence in the Vaud Canton area, which notably hosts the highest concentration of sport entities in the world. Interoute, whose fiber optic Pan-European network connects 30 countries worldwide over 67,000 km of lit fibre, powers up the Geneva deltatre base, offering an infrastructure of colocation, hosting and cloud services.

The Interoute on-premise infrastructure allows deltatre to store data as close as possible to the heart of Interoute’s network, enabling the digital sports firm’s Swiss office to manage data, host applications and distribute content much faster, with greater control over movement of workloads and data between data centres.

“The new Geneva office represents the growth of our geographical footprint and, within the Interoute Data Center facility, deltatre has found a highly functional and connected location that will allow us to provide an optimal service, especially to our local clients,” says Gilles Mas, digital host services director at deltatre. “In addition, the content hub we are implementing within the Interoute facility will allow us to deploy our Digital Host Services suite for our international high bandwidth demanding broadcaster clients.”

Bastien Aerni, vice-president for enhanced customer solutions at Interoute, adds: “We are delighted to be providing our cloud service platform for deltatre’s new Swiss office. deltatre, like Interoute, is driving fast-paced development of new and growing technologies. heir new Geneva branch emphasises this, making our joint collaboration towards delivering innovation for business even more visible.“
