Digital Content Summit: WBD, World Sailing and Coolr Sport join speaker lineup

Sam Lyon, VP digital & social at Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, will be taking part in next month’s Digital Content Summit , discussing how WBD is building a connected, multi-platform sports experience for sports fans across Europe.

Built for broadcasters, federations, leagues, clubs, and rights holders, the summit returns to Kings Place in London on 10 June to deliver practical insight into how leading organisations are navigating a rapidly evolving, multi-platform content landscape.

In ‘Streaming the Summer of Sport: How WBD is building a multi-platform digital experience for European sports fans’, Lyon will showcase the digital strategy behind one of Europe’s biggest summer sports operations as Warner Bros. Discovery prepares to deliver more than 4,000 hours of live sport across HBO Max, TNT Sports and Eurosport. Discussion will cover everything from streaming innovation and in-app features to localised social content, websites and audience engagement.

Also newly added to the programme are Thomas Roberts, World Sailing, content lead, and Ben Goldhagen, Coolr Sport, director of sport, who will explore how to engage sports fans with short-form content.

They join already announced speakers: Rob Pilgrim, Meta, head of sport EMEA; Greg Stobart, England & Wales Cricket Board, digital content lead; Jimmy Graham, Little Dot Sport, content strategist; and Lewis Wiltshire, IMG, SVP and managing director of digital.
