Digital Sports Summit 2025: First speakers revealed for 25 June London event

Colin McKevitt, Badger & Combes MD & Lancashire CCC CIO; Duncan East, Buzz 16 MD; and Joshua Barnett, After Party Studios MD, are the first confirmed speakers for the Digital Sports Summit 2025, taking place in London on 25 June.

The trio will be sharing their insight into how watchalongs and other types of alternative and interactive live viewing experiences, including those on YouTube, can engage Gen Z and international audiences. Using examples, they will discuss the pros and cons, including what success and failure look like, document the people skills and technologies required, and share their thoughts on why this is both the present and the future of sports viewing.

Previously known as Create Share Engage, the Digital Sports Summit will focus on the strategies, tools, techniques and technology required to successfully create and distribute social, mobile and streamed sports content.

Other sessions include a detailed look at how federations, leagues and broadcasters can engage sports fans with short-form content; expert insight into how to successfully launch a D2C service; and a look at how content hubs can streamline the distribution of sports video across multiple platforms. The power of content hubs and how they can streamline the distribution of sports video across multiple platforms will also be discussed.
