Disguise renews Gold SVG Europe sponsorship
Disguise, which offers an integrated system of software, hardware and services to deliver next-generation visual experiences, has returned as a Gold sponsor of SVG Europe.
The move comes shortly after the company received £1.2 million in funding from Innovate UK and the EU as part of a larger investment into MAX-R – an alliance of companies dedicated to advancing virtual production, extended reality, virtual reality and metaverse technologies. Disguise will primarily focus on streamlining productions so that filmmakers, live events experts, broadcasters and more can use immersive technologies with fewer licence requirements and other costs.
The modular and flexible Disguise platform offers an end-to-end solution for consultation, content creation and design, on-site deployment and on-going support. It has been used on multiple sporting events, including the Olympics and UEFA Euros.
Other innovations include the Porta broadcast graphics and media controller, enabling users to manage LED xR and AR productions without extensive technical expertise. In addition, the EX range of media servers has been enhanced with the EX 2, EX 2C and EX 3+ – providing an entry point to the Disguise ecosystem for mid to small-scale productions looking for a powerful playback machine.
