Diversity and inclusion in sports broadcasting firmly on the agenda at IBC [VIDEO]

IBC recently published a video panel discussion called ‘Diversity and Inclusion in Sports Broadcasting’ as part of its IBC content programme, which is now available to view on demand.

Hosted by Ekta Hutton, head of the HBS Broadcast Academy, speakers scrutinised how the world of sports broadcasting is changing.

Hutton was joined by Mirta Lourenco, chief of media development and media and information literacy at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Marisa Reich, chair of She Sports Switzerland and director of Winter Sports Hype, and Heather McLean, editor at SVG Europe and head of SVG Europe Women.

The speakers looked at issues for diversity within sports broadcasting today, initiatives that are leading the industry in the right direction, as well as what needs to happen now in order for progress to continue and accelerate.
