dock10 reaches final of the IBC 2015 Innovation Awards

MediaCityUK-based media services provider dock10 has announced that it is one of the ten finalists in the IBC 2015 Innovation Awards. dock10 has been shortlisted in the Content Management category for its new remote ingest solution, field dock. Launched earlier this year field dock is fully integrated with Avid Interplay.

The award ceremony, which will take place at the exhibition in September, celebrates companies who have demonstrated innovation through its technology partnerships.

Using Avid’s Connectivity Toolkit, the new service, which was jointly developed with dock10’s partner Limecraft, enables a speedier and more efficient option in the shoot to edit process by facilitating location-based media management and file ingest over IP. Once content has been received, clients are able to access dock10’s full range of services including its industry leading post production, a full range of connectivity options and remote production tools such as Avid MediaCentral | UX to view, log and edit their material.

The IBC Awards Committee states: “dock10 has rapidly developed into one of the most efficient production and post production powerhouses in the UK. It has always encouraged collaborative and remote working, and its implementation of field dock, which allows creative teams to connect into its post network from locations or anywhere else they choose, earns it the fourth nomination in this category.”
