Soul Movie, a company specialising in audio visual production and post production services, has acquired the 3zero2tv Studios production centre in Milan, Italy, from EMG.

The historic production centre in Via Deruta is made up of five studios with related video and editorial spaces, as well as post production rooms. It has seen the creation of some of the most famous TV shows in Italy over the years, such as X-Factor, Italia’s Got Talent, Fratelli di Crozza, Hell’s Kitchen, and Guess my Age.

At the end of June 2020 the Italian subsidiaries of EMG completed the acquisition of the Infront Production Centre (ICP). The Milan TV studio complex was used to produce sports and entertainment shows for Eurosport Italia, DAZN, Sky, Mediaset and Serie A.

Following the change of ownership, the complex was renamed 3zero2 Studios and joined Global Production in Turin, Netco Sports in Milan and 3Zero2 TV in Cologno Monzese as part of EMG.

Francesco De Siena, CEO at Soul Movie, said: “We are thrilled to welcome the production centre and the entire 3Zero2 Studios team to Soul Movie. This strategic acquisition is part of a growth path, which plans to expand the offer of our services for the entertainment market and consolidate our presence in Milan. The long-term strategy, also thanks to the support of innovative technologies, is to strengthen our identity as a producer of digital and multimedia content, including sports and soft news. The operation also confirms the excellent relationship between EMG and Soul Movie, with the desire to collaborate on various fronts to achieve ambitious results together”.

Claudio Cavallotti, CEO at EMG Italy, added: “We are delighted that 3zero2 Studios is joining Soul Movie. The production centre was part of the 3zero2 acquisition, and we are confident that Soul Movie is the right player to ensure continuity. Soul Movie will be able to benefit from our previous experience to expand activities and customers, while EMG will continue to work in synergy with Soul Movie on other projects, focusing its core business on live sports production. This step, therefore, strengthens the relationship between the two companies with a view to ever closer future cooperation, in which both will bring their best skills, each for its part.”
