EMG, a global provider of broadcast services and media solutions for live sports, has recommitted to SVG Europe as a Platinum sponsor.

The company has had a busy 2021 undertaking an ambitious transformation strategy that has seen it appoint Shaun Gregory as CEO and rebrand from Europe Media Group. It has also delivered some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events despite the challenges of the pandemic and opened a ‘Stream Gallery’ in High Wycombe that has already been utilised for multiple Rugby League games.

Timo Koch, director of operations at EMG, said: “EMG has been a platinum sponsor of SVG since 2016. This year again, we decided to renew our partnership with SVG. We believe that SVG Europe’s work is vital to make the industry of sports production a dynamic one. SVG provides the perfect platform to discuss and align our strategy and technology developments with the demands of our customers. It allows us to go in depth into the specificities of our latest innovations during their events, creating a dialogue around the challenges and opportunities facing our industry. As a leading global provider of broadcast facilities and media solutions, EMG has a major stake in these discussions.

“This year, we were happy to exchange together with the sports broadcast community around our experience delivering some of the major sporting events such as UEFA Euro 2020, the Summer of Sports in Tokyo, Roland Garros, The World Nordic Ski Championship or the Tour de France to name a few. Outside of COVID, we appreciate being invited to the numerous events organised by SVG. These allow us to network with relevant people within our industry and we’ve appreciated SVG’s efforts to maintain the quality of these discussions through well-produced virtual meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
