Émilie Montané is L’Équipe Group’s new strategy and development director

Émilie Montané, the former director of media and production at the Fédération Française de Tennis, has joined L’Équipe Group as new strategy and development director.

As of Monday 3 January 2022, Montané will be reporting to Laurent Prud’homme, CEO of the group. She will also be a member of the executive committee.

Montané will be responsible for supporting general management in the application of the L’Équipe group strategy, in particular through the development and diversification of activities by optimising the distribution of L’Équipe products through its various distribution channels. She will work across the board with all executive committee departments.

In her previous job, she oversaw and managed The French Open at Roland Garros in Paris, which for the first time in 2021 saw the FFT and its new host broadcaster, HBS, taking the production over from France Télévisions.

Prud’homme commented: “I am delighted with the arrival of Émilie Montané, a recognised and appreciated professional. The team is engaged in a profound transformation of its economic model, I wanted Emilie to join us in order to speed it up. Its missions, in coordination with the other departments of the group, will be to develop our sources of growth and optimize the distribution of our content “.

Montané started her career in 1999 at NBC Universal (formerly Universal Studios Channels France) on 13ème Rue and Sci-Fi and held various positions there such as legal and human resources manager then legal director. In 2009, she joined the FFT as legal director. She was then entrusted with the direction of media and production, in which she was notably in charge of the marketing of the broadcasting rights of Roland-Garros and the Rolex Paris Masters and of the production of live content.
