Ericsson to strengthen TV operations in MediaCityUK and Broadcast Centre

Ericsson has announced it will strengthen its TV and media operations in the UK by establishing a new broadcast and media services facility in MediaCityUK, Salford. MediaCityUK is currently home to leading media organisations including the BBC and ITV. The new site will go live from Q1 2017 and will deliver playout and media management services for clients like the BBC 24 hours a day.

Additionally, Ericsson has extended its lease at Broadcast Centre, London. Work is underway to establish world-class broadcast and media services facilities which will include playout suites, continuity and quality control areas, media management areas, master control facilities and a network operations center. Broadcast Centre will also house a new creative studio – home to Ericsson’s creative agency Red Bee.
