Eurovision Services provides connectivity for global distribution of FINA World Championships

Eurovision Services is co-ordinating the worldwide distribution of the 19th FINA World Championships taking place in Budapest until 3 July, covering every single competition from all venues with four multilateral feeds.

A total of 20 people from Eurovision Services are working on the worldwide distribution of the championships from Hungary. This includes four engineers who, since 10 June, have been on-site at the master control room, which houses five pallets’ worth of equipment in order to receive and process all the produced feeds from seven different venues.

From Budapest, the signal transits via Eurovision Services’ Network Operations Centre in Geneva over fully redundant fibre links with a separate back-up over the internet. From Geneva, the four multilateral feeds are distributed worldwide over the Eurovision Services Global Hybrid Network.

Over the course of the competition, Eurovision Services will distribute 300 hours of content, including live action, daily highlights and a final event highlight programme. The company is also providing dedicated services to individual broadcasters, including IP delivery using its new SRT farms.
