Eurovision Sport partners with Dazzl for live video content delivery

Eurovision Sport is collaborating with the tech start-up Dazzl.tv to offer EBU members a mobile app and cloud-based solution for producing and delivering live video content.

Using a web dashboard, the video production suite is said to streamline live multi-camera work. Live content can be captured from professional cameras, smartphones, encoders and drones in multiple locations. Content is then edited and streamed direct to web and social media platforms, from any location, providing an easy and affordable way for a broadcaster to enrich its digital content.

Eurovision Sport, a division of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), works with innovative partners to offer the best digital enrichment products for Members. Dazzl has an impressive record, already working with several European public service broadcasters, sports federations and amateur sports organisations.

Successful preliminary testing of the App was conducted last winter with Eurovision Sport and the product was named the winner of the Eurovision Sports Award for Technology Startup at The Spot conference in Lausanne, Switzerland in May 2019.

Franck Choquard, Eurovision Sport’s head of content and servicing said, “preliminary work with Dazzl has proven very successful so we are pleased to now enter into a stronger partnership. The platform is a great offer for our members and we are excited to see it in action. We are always exploring collaborations with new companies and products, seeking out the best creative solutions for members and federation partners to enhance their digital publication and complement the television experience EBU members are delivering.”

“Dazzl is the most flexible solution available today that makes live cloud-based multi-camera video production a realistic option for sports organisations of all sizes,” said Thierry Scozzesi, CEO and co-founder of Dazzl. “We have designed our product with usability in mind, making it possible for anyone with a  smartphone to become a cameraman, and anyone with a browser and internet connection to become a live video producer.”
