Eurovision to distribute The Championships, Wimbledon 2015 through to 2017

Eurovision has won the competitive bid for the distribution of The Championships, Wimbledon – the world’s premier tennis tournament – for 2015-2017 in the wake of its success in distributing the 2012-2014 seasons. The agreement provides for the technical distribution of up to 14 simultaneous HD feeds over Europe as well as multiple feeds to the rest of the world.

In addition, Eurovision will offer a full range of services for the international broadcast community during the two-week tournament. Eurovision was selected by IMG , the appointed production partner of The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC).

Stefan Kuerten, Director of the Sports and Business Department said the decision reflects the trust Eurovision engenders among sports federations and organisations. “Eurovision is proud to have been yet again selected to partner AELTC and IMG for these Championships,” he said. “This confirms the quality, reliability and competiveness of our technical services.”

With the first edition of the event scheduled for 29 June-12 July 2015, Eurovision is already on-site and preparing to generate approximately 250 hours of sports programming to broadcasters worldwide.

Eurovision is the premier distributor of top sports on behalf of the European Broadcasting Union, with more than 54,000 hours of live sports content carried by its network.
