EVS makes two key appointments to support growth plans

EVS has made two new appointments, with Xavier De Vynck rejoining the company as senior vice president of strategic business development and Stephanie Dessart promoted to senior vice president, solutions architect (SOLAR).

After serving as head of Continental Europe, Media, Sports, and Entertainment at Tata Communications for the past two years, De Vynck returns to EVS as the new SVP of strategic business development.

He has more than 20 years of business development and international sales and marketing experience in the broadcast, media, and telco related industries, including 11 years of experience at EVS, where he was involved in business development and major sporting events management.

In this new role, he will lead EVS’s strategic business development initiatives, which the company described as “a critical component of the company’s commercial evolution plan,” which was introduced earlier this year.

His responsibilities will include developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies, mentoring a future business development team, and cultivating relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

He will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts. Additionally, De Vynck will play a key role collaborating with the Markets & Solutions team in market research, analysis, and identifying new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, alliances, mergers, and acquisitions.

Meanwhile, Stephanie Dessart has been promoted to SVP, Solutions Architect (SOLAR), to support EVS’s Global Business Team’s evolution plan.

Over the past few years, Dessart has successfully led the EMEA Solutions Architect Team, significantly contributing to the company’s growth in the region. Since joining EVS in 2006, she has held multiple roles in product management, engineering, and solution architecture, as well as in sales engineering, support, and the commissioning of major international customer projects, gaining extensive expertise in broadcast engineering.

In her new role, Dessart will manage a team of experts to ensure the global success of EVS’s solutions architecture. She will oversee the development of tailored solutions that meet customer production and engineering requirements, lead RFP/RFI processes to ensure effective decision-making, and develop product demonstration plans to support sales efforts.

Nicolas Bourdon, chief commercial officer at EVS said: “We are equally confident in Xavier’s and Stephanie’s ability to lead our growth to new heights. Both have a hands-on approach and a strategic mindset that align perfectly with our vision to expand and innovate in today’s competitive global landscape.”

De Vynck and Dessart will report directly to Nicolas Bourdon, EVS’s recently appointed chief commercial officer. Dessart will assume her new role on 1 September, while De Vynck will officially start on 12 September.
