EVS reveals Broadcast Asia 2013 plans

In addition to showcasing its latest solutions, EVS’ APAC product and technical specialist, Will Munkara-Kerr, will speak at the conference on fully integrated workflows for fast-turnaround news.

On Tuesday 18 June, Munkara-Kerr will present a case study on the state-of-the-art production facility at Sky News Arabia. The presentation will examine how the 24-hour Arabic news service accelerated and optimised its newsgathering operations with a fast-turnaround production workflow, and the challenges involved in integrating the complete production environment from ingest to archive. It will further explore Sky News Arabia’s strategies for effective multiplatform delivery.

Meanwhile, on its booth, EVS will demonstrate practical innovations which maximise broadcasters’ live production infrastructure to deliver content to wider audiences and enable more creative programming. Based on EVS’ XT3 server, these innovations help broadcasters and content owners maximize the value of live content and make it instantly available across multiple, integrated workflows, from venues to the living room. EVS will also present new products and features across its four key markets – Sports, Entertainment, News and Media.

EVS Sports will showcase the recently-launched LSM Connect. The new tablet-based app is a companion to the Multicam LSM controller that makes it quicker and easier to index, browse and select clips, and manage playlists. They will also highlight their lastest Epsio live graphics solutions for inserting graphic overlays in real time or instant replays.

EVS Entertainment will exhibit the new Nano Air playout software controller for TV studios and on-stage entertainment. Combined with EVS’ XSnano servers, it offers reliable, cost-effective multichannel playout capabilities for broadcasters, studios and rental facilities.

EVS News will demonstrate advanced integration with the latest version of ENPS, making it easier for broadcasters to integrate EVS solutions into their existing infrastructure.

EVS Media will present a new version of the EVS OpenCube server which provides extended support for IMF and native support for visually lossless JPEG 2000.
